My third attempt of star trails. Usually you should change only one thing from one attempt to another, however, I decided to change two:
- raw instead of jpg
- 11mm zoom instead of 20mm
I do not see any advantage of using raw in this case - only the files get larger and merging takes longer. So next try with star trails will be jpg again. 11mm gives a much wider field of view - including the north star this time. But because of the setting (on a loggia of our house) also more roof is seen. I might try another view next time, because I want to include a planet.
The lens flare you can see is because of a street light. Also living near Frankfurt gives you quite a number of airplanes.
- 122 exposures
- in raw
- 11mm lens
- aperture 2.8
- 20 seconds exposure, 1 second interval
- start at about 22:00 in August
